Coverage:
One gallon of this adhesive is enough for 150 square feet of flooring, using the
1/16-inch notched trowel recommended for linoleum tile. To calculate the number
of gallons needed, multiply the length and the width of the floor (in feet) and
divide by 150. Round any fraction up to the next whole gallon.
Preparation:
When applying over concrete, or over any substrate with suspect moisture
content, use a calcium chloride test kit to measure how much moisture is coming
up into the floor. This product should be used only if the reading is below 5
pounds per 1,000 square feet in 24 hours. Some flooring products may have lower
limits.
-Set heating or air conditioning to 68°F for 72 hours before and after
installation.
-Subfloor must be free of dust, dirt, wax, paint, old adhesive residue, sealers
and other foreign matter.
-72 hours before installation, bring linoleum into the heated space to
acclimate.
Application:
Use a square-notch trowel with teeth 1/16 inch high, wide and apart. Replace
trowel with each new bucket of adhesive. Spread adhesive on only a small area at
a time. After placing a few tiles, immediately roll them in both directions with
a 100-pound floor roller. Keep lid on can when not in use.
Drying:
Approximately 24 hours. Do not allow heavy traffic or roll heavy objects across
the floor for 72 hours.
Cleanup:
With a clean, damp cloth, wipe off excess adhesive before it dries.
Maintenance:
Don't wash floor for at least 72 hours to allow adhesive to cure properly.
